Hello - bonjour

Postby ademes » 07.12.2017, 17:52

Hi everybody,
I'm happy to be accepted in this forum as I'm completely new in RocRail.
I'm leaving in Belgium (Brussels) and my motherlanguage is french. However, I really like english too  and even flemmish :?
My project is to implement a layout in the "Z" scale, in digital, of course. Currently I've 5 engines already digitalized and the sixth one will be transfomed very soon (I just need time and quite).
I also will connect my real layout to RocRail on a PC with Windows 10 and 3D Train Studio.
I will surely need your help in these objectives.
Regards
Ademes

Cordialement
Ademes

Hi Andre,

Welcome to Rocrail.
Maybe because you are writing in French in the English forum?!
Je ne parle pas francais, maar wel nederlands.

Hi,
First of all... Sorry for french in the english forum. The reason was that, at that moment, I did'nt realise that a french forum still exists.
As already said, I'm new in the rocrail world and I have some questions :
1. why does the demo plan not start when I open the standard workspace.
2. What is the difference, at the installation time, between WIKI plan and demo plan?
3. Are there some parameters to highlight when (trying) starting the demo plan?

Many thanks in advance
Regards
André

Hi Andre,

1. You have to load a plan first described here.
2. the plans are different, the wiki plan is the same one described in the wiki, the demo plan is more of a railroad.
demo03.PNG

Demo plan
The Demo/wiki plan is in the following directory.
demo01.PNG

Start Rocrail and select:
File-> Open Workspace. Select the directory (called Rocrail) from the previous picture. (It should be the same on your Win machine)
demo02.PNG

Select Folder, this loads the plan in Rocrail.
(The second time you want to load this plan use the recent workspaces option.

Turn on Automode and find a loc, right mouse click and start loco. Click on the sensors and the train moves to a new block. etc.
