:shock: :shock: :shock: On another forum I have read that the interface protocol has been updated and then Rocrail may not work once you update the software of your controller to this version. :shock: :shock: :shock:

Without any documentation of the changed ESU/ECoS protocol we cannot do anything to help you.
The original protocol is a nightmare, I wonder what changes can make this less worse.

The new protocol documentation is available:

Who wants to check the diffs? ;-)

Hi,

I did a fast cross check of the two versions, but I do not think we need to change anything.
In short: The upgrade should work with Rocrail.
Best Regards, Rob.

ESU had now released version 3.2.1 the changes are :

"The following issues have been changed:

* BUGFIX: Problems with s88 and routes (new software for ECoSniffer).
* CHANGE: Consists have now locolist 1 as default setting.
* CHANGE: PC-Interface: Legacy commands PC-Software (e.g. ControlGUI)
* BUGFIX: MobileControl: Transfer of locos to MC fixed
* BUGFIX (central station): Encoder needs 2-3 steps for one speedstep when decreasing speed."

I have updated my ECOS1 to this version and have had no problems with the S88 feedback, and I have Viessmann 5233 modules that are known to cause all sorts of problems on the S88 buss.

Also, I have not had any problems using Rocrail with this new update.

Hope this information helps.
