Rocrail and Ecos / ESU

Postby chrisearnest » 14.04.2018, 02:13

Hello all,
I am new to rocrail and am just getting started. I have Rocrail set up and talking to my ecos can turn on and off power etc.. I am having trouble setting up Blocks and Turnouts. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get these set up it would be great!
Ultimate plan in to have a few trains run a pre determined pattern and then manually run yards and other trains!
thanks in advance
Erik

Hi and welcome to Rocrail!

I am having trouble setting up Blocks and Turnouts.
-o I can't imagine what those troubles may be ;)
As a general suggestion: Please read and follow the step-by-step tutorial.

If you still have problems you can't solve on your own you can of course ask again considering this chapter: http://wiki.rocrail.net/doku.php?id=ste ... tting_help

Have fun!

Hi Erik,

Welcome by Rocrail!

With problems with blocks and turnouts do you mean adding them to your plan?
Or do you have problems switching the turnouts using your ECoS and your plan?

Thanks for the input so far and the link, its been very helpful and i now have computer control of my turnouts! Working and setting up sensors and blocks. It appears i need a sensor at each end of the blocks. Currently my layout has 16 blocks or isolated sections. I am working on configuring them by setting the sensors in each section to have the same address of that section.
