Roco switch addressing problem

Roco switch addressing problem

Postby Habilis » 07.11.2017, 17:03

Hi,

I am a newbie and I have a problem ( or the problem is me, I am not sure).

I have a roco line conected to the Z21, and that conected to my computer. I have 4 locos that I can control ( forward back and lights, not smoke in one of them ).

I would like to control a switch, but is not working. I have created a new loco with the switch adress ( 5 ), and now I can switch it with F1, but I can not assign it to a switch Sw1.

Any ideas if what I am doing wrong here ?

Thanks

Hi Habilis,

Roco accessory decoder addressing is a bit different than the rest of the digital world.
The are shifted about 4. Just test it with the Switch Control to find out the right address.

Nope,

Changed decoder from 1 to 10.

Pressed all buttons ( I think that made Pada 1 to 38 ). The switch does not move. But If I press F1 on the train loco with adress 5 it moves.

Try the z21 maintenance tool, maybe you must reprogram the decoder address.

Thank you.

I was able to program two other switches with RocRail, but not that one.

Do you know if there is a manual Z21 Maintenance/WIFI-MULTIMAUS in English ? I don’t understand German.

Hi Hbilis,

You see the instruction manual (DE), but it also contains English.

Thanks,

I have checked it.

I also saw that some the product "Roco 42624 - Digital switch drive" according to the description is "...not Railcom compatible..." may be this has some influence.
I also was able to connect two other switchs that are working perfectly.
