Module route in modular layout problem.

Postby Buddace » 09.03.2010, 11:13

I try to describe ....I hope it is clear.
CV19 module's are fremo based and in a layout can place with right direction or 180 degree rotated.
Problem met in rocrail. If I connect a right module whit another 180 degree rotated train run direction.....is problem, why ? In right module forward direction is from left to right but in 180 degree module forward id from right to left! With this with automatic mode, crossing route between modules wrong change direction....and train run in wrong direction!
I think need flag option for any modules like "revert direction on this module".
..or is my mistake ?

Hi,

module route definitions are basically from a compas point to a block and visa versa.
Always use routes in "FromTo" mode.

This method works fine with Plan-F and also with the big MGV Modular Layout which is different for every exhibition and rotated as needed.

Sorry I don't understand this question :)
External routes.xml?

No only "internal" route (in modules files) and auto generated route for connection betweens modules.
Block groups in separate file.

Hi Nuccio,

Yes, I know; I did check that a few weeks ago.

That will be fine. I need a simple example to understand a huge issue. ;-)

Hi,

you must provide more information on what I should investigate, and what goes wrong.

I try to explain with my bad English.
My problem is not rocrail bug but a new feature request. When a module was rotated 180 degree I need to invert all direction (forward became reverse and v.v.) in module internal route.
Without this option now when train crossing module connection change direction.
Attached test case: there are two terminal modules with only west connection and internal route. To connect booth I have to rotate one 180 degree ....

Hi,

if you define block A and A2 as terminal station the loco will be swapped at the in event.
If you only setup routes FromTo and without reverse running direction it should be OK.
But in your example you cannot rotate one of the modules because they both have only one connection side.

Problem is not in block A1 and A2...problem is in bk20100215150220171 and bk20100215150544765
If you only setup routes FromTo and without reverse running direction it should be OK.

Both bk20100215150544765,bk20100215150220171 don''t allowed change direction...but train change direction...
But in your example you cannot rotate one of the modules because they both have only one connection side.

This is an example and plan2 are 180 degree rotated.

I think my description is too bad and hard to understand, try with picture.
