GCA-Pi02 Possible to control a 5V relay?

Postby DIYglenn » 09.10.2015, 15:24

Hi!

I have a relay connected to Gnd + 17 on my Pi02, but I can't seem to enable it.
Is it possible at all to do this? I tested with an Arduino board, and the relay works fine, just not on the Pi02...

Sorry, brain fart... of course the controller isn't powerful enough to directly power a 5V relay.

I'll purchase a relay designed for micro controllers.
