[UID mismatch] BiDiB: Sensor color does not change

Postby peter_moulin » 03.12.2017, 08:51

Bonjour,

The color of sensor on track panel when occupy turn red on a windows/Rocrail but stays green on a Ubuntu/rocrail. Why?

Same hardware for bidi, same svg theme on both OS.
I got the info
08:48:38 sensor bus=68000100 addr=11 state=occ code=0 type=loco-addr-none username= master
08:48:38 BM port 10 occupied
08:48:38 sensor bus=68000100 addr=8 state=occ code=0 type=loco-addr-none username= master
08:48:38 BM port 7 occupied
on both machine.

On Windows install is from wiki download. Ubuntu is from Sources coded locally.

Everything works on Ubuntu ( loco, switches) except the sensors color.

Any idea
Pierre

Hi Pierre,

I do not support self builded Rocrail.

Install the Ubuntu package which fits to your version, start it, and attach an issue if the sensors are still green.
Best Regards, Rob.

Same issue with rocrail-1321-ubuntu-i386.deb

installed on a ubuntu machine 4.10.0-40-generic #44~16.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Thu Nov 9 15:37:44 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux.

Are you sure your addressing is correct of the sensors?

Code: Select all
20171206.173516.905 r9999c bidibrea OBiDiB   1700 sensor bus=68000100 addr=14 state=free code=0 type=loco-addr-none username= master
20171206.173516.905 r9999a F6FBEB40 OModel   4729 trying to match sensor event: [GBMBoost] 1744830720:14 uidname=[ master] state=0 code=
20171206.173516.906 r9999a F6FBEB40 OModel   4765 sensor key: 1744830720_14_GBMBoost_ master
20171206.173516.906 r9999a F6FBEB40 OModel   4785 unregistered sensor event: [GBMBoost] 1744830720:14 uidname=[ master]

Use the sensor monitor to check it:

I thought that I had send an answer, but it is not there! I will try again.
Attached a screen capture of sensor and the properties of one of them.

Tried, and seems to work with the "virtual" controller".

Also attached traces with adding loco not in the loco tables, option in rocrail: create guest on bidi. the loco are detected and inserted in the loco table.

May be that help!

1) open the sensor monitor
2) put a loco on the GBM16T section
3) make screenshot
4) attach

GBMBoost & Rocrail works OK, many users, incl. me, are also using it in automatic mode.

Including me too!!! under windows or Rapberry pi3. What about ubuntu?

Attached the screen shot.
The TR10 sensor is used, i.e. the loco is on that one.
You can see the sensor monitor and its properties.
On the track map sensor TR10 appears underlined in yellow since I have asked to display the properties.

Hi Pierre,

last week I did test Bidib under Linux; No problem.
Don't know how to help you.
Maybe delete the rocview.ini...

Which brand of Linux?

that does not matter, I also used Ubuntu as other Rocrail users.

Just attach an issue.

Ok I will, but hereafter the latest info.

I have realized that using the link "Free downloads to ubuntu" I downloaded a i386 version for a 64 bits PC! http://rocrail.net/software/rocrail-snapshot/ The proper version is under linux https://launchpad.net/rocrail/sunrise/2.0/+download/rocrail-13118-ubuntu1604-amd64.deb.
May be that could be improved on the wiki.

Now when using the sensor monitor I can see all my sensors. The state and the the associated code changes while a loco is moving on the layout.
But the color still don't change.
Now if I select the sensor on the track plan with my mouse, a black windows appears stating that the state is zero where the sensor monitor tells me state 1 code 6 (which is the loco address).
Now with the click I can turn red/green and the indication in the sensor monitor will follow.

If I move the loco in/out or out/in the sensor monitor will change state, but the colour on the track map will not change.

It is as if the link between the map and sensor works from map to sensor, but not from sensor to map.
