Sprog 3 and Controller settings?

Postby dornier » 14.01.2013, 22:32

Hi,

I would like to try RocRail, but I'm having issues with Rocrail seeing the Sprog 3. The Sprog 3 works with JMRI, so I know it's working. Here's the issue, when I select sprog as the controller it wants an IID and com port. When I select com port pull down window, it only shows com 1. The Sprog is connected to com 8 via USB. If I manually type in com 8, Rocrail reports serial errors at the bottom left of the screen after I restart Rocrail. Any ideas?

Thanks,

GP

2) If you are asking for support for Rocrail functionallity, auto mode, switches, signals ... you have to post your rocrail.ini plan file and the trace file. No one can help you if you don't provide this informations.

Hopefully this is what's needed, thanks.

Hi,

your device selection "/dev/cu.usbserial-feedcode" is odd.

Linux devices: /dev/ttyS* ans /dev/ttyUSB*
Mac devices: /dev/tty.*
Window devices: COM*

If you are using Windows: Check the device manager which port is linked with sprog.
Best Regards, Rob.

Hi,
with Ubuntu 12.04(Linux) my SPROG3 uses /dev/ttyACM0.
An SPROG2 uses /dev/ttyUSBx.

Hi,

Since I don't have any pulldown selections for com 8, do I just enter the info into the .ini file?

Thanks,

George

You can enter com8 directly in the combobox.

A combobox is a combination of a text field and a drop down.
