Postby macsddau » 14.10.2013, 21:36

Hello I'm new to the post.

I'm from France.

Historicly I bought a couple if year a start set with the MS2 included. Now I'm interested to command my model with a computer without missing my initial investment. Searching on the web I found the StartsetCC2 from can.digital.bahn. I recived it today.

I have connected the kit to my MS2. But nothing work.

The main error is : ***READ TIMEOUT***

I post the trace files and the pictures of my settings

Could you help me

Thanks For answers

Denis

Am besten nachfragen beim CC-Schnitte Hersteller/Forum warum es nicht Kommuniziert.
Weil bei ROcrail hast du alles richtig eingestellt.

Hi Rob

Thanks for your answer. (I have to use an online dictionary for translation)

Is that mean, that the problem is with the diver, the cables or the CCSchnittr box ? I will tell C.D.B.

Some Other questions :
- For the moment I haven't feedback module (I will use virtual cs). Did I need to set sensor number to 0 ?
- In the version field, did I have to let it with 0 value ?
- Is the adresse number of locomotives in Rocrail is the same as on the MS ? (On MS : Loc 5 DCC -> In RR : Addr=5 NMRA DCC)

Thanks a lot for your help

All values not documented in the WIki are not used:
http://wiki.rocrail.net/doku.php?id=cc-schnitte-en

Some dialogs are used for more control stations so it sometimes have more fields then necessary for a particular CS.

The MCS2 I do not know my self.

I read the wiki pages. You send me to the mfx protocol but I use DCC protocol for the locos. Is it the same addressing mode ? With the mobile station I can't backup to an USB key :(
Thanks for answer

Hi

This evening I try with the demo version of iTrain. Same problem but with more information. iTrains says that the baud rate is incompatible with the usb device.

I think that FTDIUSBSerialDriver 2.2.1 on Mac OS 10.8 is incompatible with the CC-Schnitte 2.

Is someone is using the same configuration ? Have you any problem ?

Hi Rob

Last nigt is success to connect with my model network using ......... iTrain with D2XX driver only.
When both drivers are installed, there is an identity conflict (using the "simple" example with D2XX diver).

I read TN http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Documents/TechnicalNotes/TN_105%20Adding%20Support%20for%20New%20FTDI%20Devices%20to%20Mac%20Driver.pdf

Have you a special identifier for your device ?

I did not document it to use both driver types in the Wiki...
Just use the one I linked.

Ok

I have :
- remove all the drivers.
- install the FTDIUSBSerialDriver v2.2.18 again
- reconnect to the CC
- launch RR

here the error messages :

Maybe the CC does not support hardware handshake...

I try with SDL-X (http://simpledigitallocomotive.npage.de/sdl-x.html). The active driver is FTDIUSBSerialDriver 2.2.18. I success to address all the decoders (locs & switches).

So, the problem is with Rocrail (my track plan or RR itself).

I give you the Rocrail files. Could you check it ?
