[Solved] Error open file [images\] [rb] when selecting loco

Postby agre30 » 15.11.2013, 12:12

When I select a loco on my android phone or tablet the server returns a massage: Error open file [images\] [rb]. In spite of that the images are shown on the phone or tablet.
My images are in de directory images\small and don't exceed the maximum hight, width and kbytes. I deleted the images on the phone but with no result.

(I know my plan is not healthy but that is not the point)

Albert.

can you zip your image directory and attach it here?

Hi Rob. Thanks for helping me out.
Here is the zip file. I had to delete some of the images I don't use to make the attachement smaller than 1Mb

OK, I copied the image directory in the Rocrail directory, started Rocrail and Rocview.
Then I connected andRoc to the same server.
All images are shown and no error messages like you posted.
Must be a local problem at your setup.

Thanks Rob,
Can you give me a hint about where to look at.
I use a WIN7 laptop with a virtual CS for testing and a Lubuntu PC with DDX connected to my track. Both configurations give the error messages when I choose a loco in AndRoc.

The server cannot access the image directory. Try to change the image path in the rocrail.ini to a full qualified path like: "C:\images"

I deleted all the locomotives and created 1 new one and connected an image.
When selecting this loco in AndRoc, I see the same message 7 times. Does it mean anything to you?

Edit: I checked the image on my Android device and it is the image in the directory 'small'.

I test with your plan, your images and the last version of andRoc and it works fine without errors.
Sorry; I have no idea what you are doing wrong.

Your andRoc request images with empty names...

I changed the path in the full path. It has no effect. The only difference is RocRail shows the full path in the error message.

Thanks for your help.

Re: [Solved] Error open file [images\] [rb] when selecting l

Postby idlemarvel » 18.01.2015, 21:02

I have the same error (in rocrail 8434) in that I get DataReq filename=[class37.png] followed by 7 x Datareq filename=[] messages and no loco image displayed in andRoc throttle. I have put a full data path in image and have a copy of the image in /small as well. The image is png 49x218 19KB. I got it to display the image by manually copying the png file into sdcard/androc so I have a workaround. The image displays fine in the Windows throttle. Any ideas? Thanks.
