padRoc is available at the iTunes App-Store.

iPad based Rocrail client

Postby rjversluis » 14.01.2011, 20:13

Hi Gérald,

the revision 137 is in the Bazaar repository at Lauchpad.net.
I will push the iPad App up for review a.s.a.p., but it will take at least a week before its GA.

I can upload the App if you can install it without AppStore.
Best Regards, Rob.

Ok Rob
It's a good solution
Better solution is to have the 2 type windows selection in the same time :
One up and on other down
Or a button on bar near stop an automatic mode , for switch schuedules to distination or destination to schuedule

What do you think about this ?

Hi Gérald,

there is not room enough for two selectors, one for schedules and one for blocks. (landscape view)

Schedule freaks, as you, are not in need to have the block destination option. ;)

Maybe the layout, partly copied from iRoc, does not fully explore the potential of the iPad platform.

The problem is: Me, the only developer for padRoc at the moment, runs his layout like this:
Turn on the power, set automatic mode, run all, relax, get a good French wine ore a good German beer, do not look at displays but enjoy the rolling stock. ;)
Best Regards, Rob.

Now we can brain storm about extra functionality.

Hi Rob
An idea for padroc:
Does it's possible to have a new design for remote Windows loco control (and possibility of choise between two design)
A rotate bouton wil be great for control loco
Rotate left an right an stop middle point
Like lenz LH90
Good idea ? Or not ?

Hi Gerald !

Sorry, i do NOT like a rotate button for Loco controll. Therefore i use LH100 instead of LH 90.

I prefer the loco controll button as it is, but if it is possible, a secondary, selectable rote button, why not? But please only as an addition.

Best regards
Johannes

Hi
I'm ok with you , we must have choise between lh100 or lh90 design .
Rotate command is great for only use in loco park .

Hi Gérald,

I just discovered the postings for the rotary throttle. (Holidays)
But my first opinion is that a slider is easier to use on a touch screen.
Best Regards, Rob.
