Show speed in padRoc throttle.

iPad based Rocrail client

Show speed in padRoc throttle.

Postby pit » 01.06.2014, 11:47

Hi,

as now PadRoc manage well the functions text, I would make a new suggestion: Integrate a speed meter in the loco controller

It should be usefull and pretty (I know, it's not a real argument but... :-) ).
For example, when you want a specific speed (in order to check the real speed)
Or to be sure that the speed is at 0 (sometimes, I move the slider to the minimum but the loco continue to run, because I'm not really at zero...).

Cheers

well, another suggestion... :D

Now that the speed can appear....
for the speed regulation -> provide the possibility to use a joystick (like on ESU station) in place of the slider.

Cheers

PS: objective-C was weird but Swift is coming :-)
don't know if this could provide more simple development but to check

Why ?
because it's technicaly diffcult or because it's not a good idea ?

Yeah, very kewl.

If you don't like a touch device: Buy a throttle like Multimause or Fred or what ever.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I think I wasn't clear.... :D

My idea was a joystick in place in the slider IN the interface.
:-)
Not an external joystick, the touch device is fine for me :-)

in order to increase/decrease of 1 the speed each time you push on it
I think you can simulate this with a little slider which come back at the center each time you stop to push it ?

Try to convince other padRoc users; As for me, I'm not.

Check the button speed control:

yes, it's called on this page "button speed control" (but with another look and feel)
why not propose this option on Pad roc, as, if I understand well, this exist on Android ?
