Re: Distant Signals in Automatic Mode

Thank you Bernd for providing me with your signal symbols. They look great.

Out of curiosity did you do something similar for the distant signals that shows the yellow lights on top and the green lights on the bottom of the diagonal?

Re: Distant Signals in Automatic Mode

I think I have solved my problem and have this working correctly now for a number of routes. I think the problem I was encountering is a communication/protocol problem with the CS2, LDT decoder on Motorola protocol, and Rocrail Patterns or Default selection. I could just not get consistent functioni...

Re: Functions turning off when loco selected

Thank you Rob. Issue resolved and everything is working as before.

Interesting why this would suddenly show up when updating to the latest release. The only other thing that I had to change was from the CS2 controller to the MBUS and perhaps this triggered something.

Re: Functions turning off when loco selected

OK. So what does that mean, or what do I have to do to get them to restore?

As I previously said this is just a recent development between updates 15311 and 15482.

Re: Functions turning off when loco selected

That is what I did. I started Rocrail, all functions were on as per previous session. I selected Automatic and all functions were on. I selected loco BR85 to start and all functions went off. I let it run into the next block and ended the session. That is what the issue should show. Do you want me t...

Re: Functions turning off when loco selected

I can certainly do that, but I'm not sure what you will be able to see, since as I stated the Rocview screen shows the Functions on, but they physically turn off on every selected loco when first switching from Manual to Automatic. Never had this problem before 15482. Still worked fine at 15311. Peter

Functions turning off when loco selected

I updated to the latest save a couple of days ago and noticed the following: - When Rocrail is started all locos have the functions working as they were before the previous shutdown - When switching to Automatic and selecting a loco to Start, the functions for that loco all turn off, even though the...

Re: Distant Signals in Automatic Mode

Removing the signal assignments from the individual blocks and listing the commands in the routes has made all the difference in the world for consistent operation. However, I find that some of the signal assignments in the WIKI sample plan appear to be one route too late. I am going on the basis of...

Re: Distant Signals in Automatic Mode

Thank you. That explains it very well. I did not consider the difference between linking signals for a block vs a route.

Re: Distant Signals in Automatic Mode

Perhaps I should rephrase my question, since my previous one was probably too open ended. Here is my understanding: - Setting Lock in a route command for the A and V signals overrides the command that Rocrail normally would issue and leaves the signal in the colour/aspect that has been locked until ...

Re: Distant Signals in Automatic Mode

I have most of this working satisfactorily now, however, I still get some strange behaviour which I believe is due to the signal command being Locked instead of Open. So my understanding is that Lock is definite for that route to show the colour selected and it stays that way until the Route is free...

Re: Distant Signals in Automatic Mode

I hate to be a PITA but where can I find the XML file for Version 2? The demo Plan appears to only have the Version 1 XML script file.

Re: Distant Signals in Automatic Mode

Thank you. Well I may be in way over my head in getting this working. I have never dealt with script files and I have the following questions which may seem silly to users that are familiar with this programming. 1. Do I just copy the script file from your sample Plan included in the WIKI into my Ro...
