ESU Lokpilot Standard and FX Nano V1.0

On back of the Loksound 5 decoder file work, I have built a .XML file for Rocpro and the captioned decoders. It has only been bench-tested with a Nano FX version. I strongly recommend reading the manual, such as it is, from the ESU website when configuring these devices.

Re: ESU-Lokpilot versions 5.0

I have just finished revising the loksound file. I have done some simple tests with the decoder in the test system and it seems to be OK and thus I attach the revised version here. There are no sound CV's available as it seems that some sort of conditional XML code would be necessary to select the r...

Re: 21 Aspect Signal?

I have made a bit of progress using actions and Outputs(2) with small ext.xml scripts to manipulate the 21 aspect signal using the action test button. However, when I use the signal control in linear mode, the additional direct signal output interferes with my action controls and lights the wrong LE...

Re: ESU-Lokpilot versions 5.0

Buying Flowers? Hmmm..... A bottle of gin perhaps! Anyway thanks for looking. I guess the style thing is because the file isn't XHTML and I have come across that matter with many .xml files (mostly PBX provisioning .xml files). I will set my test rig up this evening and see if it works. Some of the ...

Re: ESU-Lokpilot versions 5.0

Tom,

I have spent a few hours neglecting 'she who must be obeyed' and other tasks creating an XML file. As I have not made such a file before, nor tested it, I would be grateful if an eye could be cast over it.

TIA, Tony

Re: ESU-Lokpilot versions 5.0

Hi Tom, I have just opened the attached file and was surprised how little there was in it. I'll have to examine it closely. Then I will set up my Loksound v5 with the ESU programmer/Zimo TAPS (which should avoid errors due to dirty program track) and get a dump of the CV's. Then I will compare the s...

Re: ESU-Lokpilot versions 5.0

Since I have a couple of Loksound Micro v5 waiting to be programmed (though I do have the ESU LokProgrammer) I was wondering how easy it would be to add to the ESU decspecs. Would it be as simple as connecting via programming track/SPROGII to RocPro and downloading the CV's? Just asking. :?:

Re: Conversion to Zip Installer - My experience

Just another thought ran across my mind right now, It would be nice if the script file had a 'run once' facility that invoked a text script of new instructions, warnings etc. That would help avoiding conversion/installation issues and then stop irritating users with repeated instructions! 'Ps...

Re: Conversion to Zip Installer - My experience

Hi, Did you use the latest Linux installer? sudo apt install libwxgtk3.0 sudo zypper install wxWidgets-3_0-devel These are now included. Tom Tom, The 'sudo apt' command is built into the shell script 'desktoplink.sh'. I don't think you can get later than Debian Buster's implementation. I have no me...

Conversion to Zip Installer - My experience

I have successfully installed Rocrail Devuan ARM64 version 15697 on my test Armbian system. However it was not without some problems. Firstly I had made the assuption that a .deb package would be enclosed in the .zip file. I wasn't aware the whole installation methodology had changed. Only by lookin...

Re: 21 Aspect Signal?

By the way, i am not sure that all possible combinations of a 6-bulb signal are relevant for a route ... Hi P&B, I'll have to ask the Soviet MPT or the DDR signal authority about those pesky EZMG signals and if they needed them! :) Having invested in seven or eight Qdecoder units specificall...

21 Aspect Signal?

Dear Rocrailers, I am having serious difficulties understanding Rocrail’s signal operations. I am using Qdecoder signal decoders configured for Soviet / Russian colour light signals. I can control these manually with my Rocmaus/DR5000 though it is complicated and easy to get sequences wrong. At pres...

Suggestions for plan.xml version control Please

I have a 'production' and a 'test' Rocrail setup. They use the same processors and Linux. The same version of Rocrail is used on both. I have been using the test system to generate scripts for signals, testing decoders and developing my plan.xml. I now have to transfer my developments from the test ...
