Re: Background colour of block symbol

Thanks again Hermann.

I now understand more but why does the system sometimes show the Loco Id in a Reserved block and sometimes it does not?

Sorry to be a pest but I want to really understand RR.

Regards
Richard

Background colour of block symbol

A minor issue but one I would like to understand. When a loco leaves a block sometimes the block background colour changes to white but sometimes its stays coloured. Is there any significance to this?

Re: Mode Column in Locomotives window

Thanks I understand now! I have been running RR and the Z21 app on an iPad simultaneously while I install more sensors to extend the range of control of RR. I have suspected that this may be causing confusion. I will experiment further. Another minor issue but I would like to understand. When a loco...

Re: Mode Column in Locomotives window

Thanks for your quick response.

Yes I am using Z21.

I did not understand your explanation. Could you say it again in different words?

Mode Column in Locomotives window

My not-too-complicated automatic set up is running really well. I would like to make it a bit more complex but I think it will be important to understand the information RocRail is providing - particularly in the Locomotives window. I understand Auto, Wait and Stop but what does X-Bus mean? Are ther...

Re: Rocrail in Australia

Thanks Tom Good suggestion but I am still only half way through building my own layout. I had in mind a video which could show the capabilities of RocRail with someone who can draw attention to the video and help people appreciate those capabilities. I have seen such a video recently but I cannot re...

Re: Rocrail in Australia

Hi Aussies All my previous experience has been with 2 rail DC analogue layouts and all the complex wiring and switches that involves. This time I decided to go with DCC. I found that it is much simpler to set up and all the complex control panel and switches are completely eliminated. It is a whole ...

Re: Loco overruns stopping point

Hi Hermann Thanks for your analysis. I was coming to the conclusion that the cause of the problem was an intermittently faulty sensor at 03+. (Not that Uhlenbrock makes faulty sensors but that I had installed it poorly.) Your thinking supported my suspicions and gave me the resolve to re-lay the tra...

Loco overruns stopping point

Very infrequently one of my locos runs a few cms past the end of a particular block and runs into a turnout thus causing disruption. I have set the speed in the block to min but the overrun still occurs from time to time.
The loco is PPAS and the block in question is 03.

Re: First attempt at Automatic running has problems

I have worked out the significance of the Tick.

How often to get a new copy?

Re: First attempt at Automatic running has problems

How frequently should I download a fresh copy of Rocrail?
What is the significance of the Tick (Check) mark beside the Title?

Cheers
Richard
