Re: Solved: Automatic trolley - need help

I think that the lesson here is "Do not share sensors between blocks".

Solved: Automatic trolley - need help

I am trying to set up a simple end-to-end trolley (Street car) operation. It consists of a start point and and end point. All I need is for it to go from one end to the other and make stops at the blocks inbetween. I can get it to mostly behave but I get Ghost errors in reverse (Blk3 to Blk2)), as w...

It only has 2 choices SVG and SVG American. It does not show "extra". However it is included in SVG Themes.

Re: SpDrS60-extra

I am not seeing "SpDrS60-extra" anywhere. Lots of themes are there including SpDrS60. I don't see -extra.

I am running Linux too.

SpDrS60-extra

The theme SpDrS60-extra is mentioned in the wiki but I cannot seem to find it. Where is it and how do I install it?

Re: Raspberry Pi Installation

Sync writes the buffers to disk. Under Linux (and Unix) everything is buffered. Flushing those buffers will help prevent loss of data and should power go away. sync() is especially effective on the Rpi. I add a sync to the end of the programs that I write that do filesystem writes. That is part of t...

Re: Raspberry Pi Installation

Hello Richard, I'm using the Raspberry without GUI. ;) More ...

Re: Raspberry Pi Installation

I think the confusion arises when people start thinking that the Raspberry Pi is something other than a Linux computer. WIth Wheezy loaded, the Raspberry is just like any other computer running Debian or Ubuntu. If it were me, I would look for instructions on how to setup Rorail on Linux or Ubuntu. ...

Re: Raspberry Pi 2

I just got a Raspberry Pi 2 and it compiled in record time (33 minutes!) It runs just fine. I used the 2015 Raspbian build of the OS. I had to the the 2.8 version of the WX library as the 3.0 version is not available for Wheezy. If someone is using NOOBS then you are on your own. I tried NOOBS and t...

Re: doubly defined sensors - Analyzer

One sensor is active high and the other is active low. In my case a sensor is a visual indication of the status of a feedback.

Leave it to me to do the unconventional.

doubly defined sensors - Analyzer

I have a few sensors that I have defined with the same address and same controller. In other words they are doubly defined. Rocrail's analyzer says that this is an error. What is the reasoning behind this being listed as an error? I would have considered it to be a warning at best. Is having these s...

Re: Cars (wagons) with decoders

The trick to programming these cars is to set CV29 bit 5 so that long addressing can be used. Other than that, POM programming works fine. It seems to me that Rocpro should set CV29 bit 5 whenever extended addresses are programmed. JMRI does that.
