Raptor

Post by ron&bram » 25.03.2015, 11:45

Dear fellow Rocrailers,

I happened to stumble over a Raptor for a nice price. From what Ifind on the web, the Raptor is a multi protocol command station, requiring a seperate booster to drive a layout (http://wiki.modelspoorwijzer.net/index.php/Raptor). Does anybody has any expereince with this CS that they would like to share with me?

Hi Rainier,

When I click the link I end up on the correct page. Maybe this one works better (also it is in German) http://www.raptor-digital.eu/raptor_de.html

Hi Rob,

PC interface is optional extra, either rs232 or USB, and you won't believe it, They even published the protocol, just wait with implementing it. http://www.raptor-digital.eu/Raptor_int ... ol_1_0.pdf

Hi Ron,

Must be the shortest PC interface I have ever seen. :P

Hi Ronald,

I added the very simple protocol, but 390 + 149 = € 439,00...

And the S88 cannot be polled.

I found one second hand for €59, which is not bad as a spare unit for the twincenter.

Hi Rob,

in the library dropdown list the "raptor" is not in alphabetical order.

IMHO it should be at the arrow marked position.
