BBT does not longer work with enter2in

Postby Pecetren » 29.07.2018, 13:47

Hello from Madrid, Spain.
I am an enthusiast of RocRail and I adhere to this forum with the idea of learning and if I can contribute something.
Now my war is with the blocks contolados by a single sensor, "enter2in" and BBT, which until the 14082 version has worked correctly, but from there the system is not the same and it is generating headaches.

Hi,

BBT never supported the enter2in event. If it did seem to work it was just a coincident.
If you only have one sensor you must define it as enter, und use fixed BBT record with generating IN options.

With a single "enter2in" sensor in the block,
It would not be possible that if BBT is selected to generate the "in", this will prevail over the block sensor?
So there would not be the problem of having to use only the sensor "enter" in the blocks for the crazy ones that the BBT is not marked in its characteristics.

I am aware that generating "in" on BBT is a user option without official support.
I wish not to be disrespectful, but I limit myself to proposing a possibility that would give greater functionality to the program and in fact it worked until version 14082, being one of the reasons that pleased me with the use of RocRail.

Hi Madrid, (A name would be nice)

Try another time, and when it does not work provide an issue file.

Hello to Spain :-)

I had a similar Topic in the past - here my findings before I decided to have two detectors in each Block.
It is essential to ensure that "Event Timer 1" is large enough that this virtual IN detector generated by "enter2in" (as a replacement for the physical IN detector...)
does not work earlier than the virtual IN detector generated by BBT. If this is not the case, the train stops too early at "IN" by the IN detector generated by "enter2in" and the breakpoint is wrong.

This behavior is a logical consequence of the Change and everything "Works as disgned" - and in the right way.

I have a block in the station where I (still) only work with one detector, so I noticed it after updating to 14.085.

And the settings for the BBT braking time and "Event Timer 1" must be worked out slowly by trial and error.
If the "Event Timer 1" is selected too large, the virtual IN detector is triggered much too late if the train is not to stop.
Maybe it has already arrived in the next block and nothing fits anymore...

I notice that for shorter blocks there will no longer be a combination for "BBT braking time" and "Event timer 1" that makes sense at some point.
Either the train stops too early in the block or the virtual IN detector from enter2in comes too late...

This is the reason why "enter2in" in BBT will never get support - it makes no sense. I made the same learing curve

Thanks for the info.
As my blocks are bi-directional, I'm considering putting three sensors.

We don't use usernames in our conversations! :D
