Maybe other p50 users can give you a tip.
The protocol can only send a change direction command, but the speed commands do not have direction information.
If the contact is bad the command is lost...

Thats the main reason for other software manufacturers to drop p50...

Hi Rob, Thanks for your interest but I don't really understand what contacts you might be talking about.
The command - lights off - lights on - on F0 works every time so wouldn't that suggest all contacts are OK?
In fact it is only the direction command that doesn't respond (often).
The points which I have connected via a Keyboard and 6083 (equivalents) work well.
Apart from taking up your suggestion of buying something other than the Marklin 6021/6051 combo or giving up on Rocrail I don't really know where to go from here.

Hi,

the point is that a direction change command can only be send once. If the decoder does not see it for what reason he does not do a direction change.
If Rocrail should send it multiple time its not sure which direction the decoder actually has.
I have no solution for this; Its a lack of the p50 protocol.

Must users here in the Forum are not using P50 for running Locos but for switching accessories...

If you know a software program which can switch direction always correctly you can sniff the serial commands and post them here.
Best Regards, Rob.
