Postby DRich » 18.01.2012, 19:58

Hi,
I'm novice on rocrail and try to control train with following config: 6051, USB/Serial converter Digitus DA 70156 Win7/64. Changing direction forward/back is not woking properly. Connect serial port diect on older PC Win7/32 everything running fine. Tried to change USB/Serial parameters without success. Maybe someone has experience.

Hi Dietger,

if you supply two traces, one from the working old pc and one with the new.
In both traces the change direction should be visible so they can be compared.
Best Regards, Rob.

Hi Rob, sounds you are very close (Südpfalz). Well here are the files where it's working fine while RS232 is connected direct on serial port. I assume it related to the USB/RS232 and the speed even if Baud Rate (2400) and CTS are same. BTW loco lights on/off is working fine in both cases.
Thanks Dietger

Hi Rob,
maybe I don't know what the trace file is. I send the *.ini and *.xlm from old PC. Which other file is availble and where can I get it?
thanks Dietger

Hallo Dieter!

Tracefiles are the files in the rocrail directory ending in .trc.

Normally you delete all your trace-files, make your test and send the new trc-files.
Liebe Grüße!
Peter.

Hi Dietger,

just ZIP them: Open Explorer, mark all relevant files and select "Send to... ZIP compressed folder" from the context menu.

Best regards

Hi Dieter,

best thing to do is to zip the files. If you have problems with zipping, just rename the extension .trc to .trc_txt or something else. then you should be able to send the files.
