[Closed] Question about TamsMC settings

Post by agre30 » 10.03.2014, 19:53

I bought a TamsMC with 3 B-2 boosters. I can't find an explanation for all the settings in the wiki so I hope someone can explain to me:
- what is the purpose of the timeout option? What is a good value for the TamsMC? I found some threads on the forum but couldn't figure out what is means.
- What is the purpose of the options system info, locomotives and switches.

This dialog is also used for other command stations and with general options.
Options not documented in the Wiki for your CS are not used.

The timeout is not directly used by the tamsmc library but by the p50x library.
Primary it is used as timeout on serial communication like waiting for the CTS line.
Secondary this value is also used as mutex timeout to prevent the serial port by multiple threads.

What is a mutex timeout? I connected the TamsMC to the USB port. How relevant is this setting?

Forumsregeln
4) If you are asking for support for Rocrail functionality, auto mode, switches, signals ... you have to post your rocrail.ini plan file and the trace file.
