Solved: srcp - rocrail server crash (WinXP)

Postby Richard-TX » 17.04.2013, 05:55

Rob,

I was able to crash the Rocrail Ver. 5024 server tonight fairly reliably. What I did was to define a switch to use srcp. Initially set the Bus = 2 Address = 64, and Port = 4. I activated the switch and then I raised the address number to 128, activated the switch, then went to 256. When I tried to activate the switch at address 256/port 4 (256*4 = 1024) is when it crashed.

I do have the 316a_appcompat.txt file that XP generates when a program crashes. Let me know if you want it.

The obvious workaround is to avoid a condition where (address*port > 1023) I do not know if Racrail crashes at address 256 port 3. I am really tired tonight and cannot do any more.

Let me know if you need any additional info.

Richard

Hi Richard,

English:
2) If you are asking for support for Rocrail functionallity, auto mode, switches, signals ... you have to post your rocrail.ini plan file and the trace file. No one can help you if you don't provide this informations.

A good habbit is to zip plan.xml, rocrail.ini, trace and additional files and post it directly without asking.
Best Regards, Rob.
