srcp, switches, and bus numbers

Post by Richard-TX » 17.04.2013, 06:59

When setting up a switch, there is a field for bus number. It appears that this field is ignored when srcp is defined as the protocol for the switch. I appears that the only place that bus number actually matters is when defining the srcp controller properties.

Is the bus number in the switch definition ignored by design?

The bus number is not for srcp but for other systems like selectrix, BiDiB, CBUS, ...

Rob,

When I define 3 switches all with the same port and address but using different protcols, Rocrail views the switches as the same. Is there some way to differentiate based on protocol used?

The selected protocol is used at "INIT GA".

I found a work around. Define a second srcp controller.

Return to “srcp”
