Locoservo by Hans de Loof?

Postby cbegg50 » 21.04.2011, 12:30

Does RocRail support LocoServo by Hans de Loof? I'm planning a layout based on part of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) around Goathland which uses semaphore signalling exclusively. For ease of use and accuracy, I would like to control the signals with servos. Hans de Loof has a Loconet based board, called LocoServo which controls up to 8 servos, but I can find no reference to it in the RocRail Programming menu.

Do I program it like a LocoIO / MGV50? I have difficulty using the LocoHDL configurator program because it doesn't support COM ports as high as my Netbook generates, COM22-COM24, stopping at COM16.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Colin,

the LocoIO/MGV50 dialog has a Servo tab which is intended to setup the HdL LocoServo. Unfortunately I never got a working unit to test with.
Best Regards, Rob.

Excellent news Rob. When I've got it built (its coming from Belgium 30 Euros), I'll give it a go and report back!
