Good to hear Gérald!

And as you have experienced now: The best support is found at the Rocrail Project. ;-)

Have a nice time discovering Rocrail.

Bon plaisir.

did you install a device driver for the LIUSB?

Hi Rob,

I am also trying to connect to a LZ100 command station using the L1USB interface, it worked fine with a windos laptop but no luck with the MAC and Rocrail, when I clicked the link on this message for the device driver it goes to a page which is empty, thanks for your time

regards

Ashish

first you must find the right device.
Open a Terminal and enter:

Code: Select all

ls -l /dev/tty*
I'm using also USB devices on my Mac but /dev/cu* is not working well.

Just plugin the usb-232 converter and issue the command I stated above.

Post the result here.

Pardon my ignorance but how do I open a terminal

regards
Ashish

My result looks like this:

Code: Select all

rocbook:~ rob$ ls -l /dev/tty*
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 2, 0 4 Dez 07:37 /dev/tty
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 11, 2 4 Dez 07:37 /dev/tty.Bluetooth-Modem
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 11, 0 4 Dez 07:37 /dev/tty.Bluetooth-PDA-Sync
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 11, 6 4 Dez 18:35 /dev/tty.PL2303-00001004
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 11, 4 4 Dez 07:37 /dev/tty.RocrailsiPod-WirelessiAP
I'm using /dev/tty.PL2303-00001004 as device.

L1USB

Post by Ashishwakhlu » 20.11.2013, 16:01

Hi Rob,

I am trying to connect the L1USB, the terminal shows my device to be /dev/tty.usbserial-00004006, I have installed the FTDI driver. I have made this device in the ini file (attached).

In the controller properties however the above device does not appear and Rocrail does not communicate with the Command Station. I am also attaching the trace file, please advise.

thanks

Ashish

You can also write the device manually in this field or by copy/paste.

This is not ok:
<digint iid="Lenz" lib="xpressnet" restricted="false" stress="false" libpath="/Rocrail/Rocrail.app/Contents/MacOS" device="/dev/tty.-2" host="" port="0" swtime="250" startpwstate="false" fastclock="false" pw4acc="true" protver="0" sublib="usb" bps="57600" flow="cts"/>

Hi Ashish,

you did not setup the LI-USB correctly, check this page:
