Hi,

welcome to Rocrail !! I hope you'll have much pleasure using Rocrail.

Regarding your question : Here and in the following posts is described how to setup an USB-Li http://forum.rocrail.net/viewtopic.php?p=3063#3063
But i'm not sure if USB Li support is fully finished and tested

Hi,

In the next days the LI-USB from Rainer will arrive at my place and if I find the time the LI-USB support will work short after the arrival.

be patient ;) (just a little bit).

From svn 3945 Rocrail supports the LI-USB both under Linux and Windows.

Many thanks to Rainer for lending me his LI-USB. It will be on his way back tomorrow.

And not to forget Mr. G. from Lenz who gave me the essential hint to make it work.

Dear all,

I was very happy to hear, that the new 3906 snapshot the LI-USB supported.

I modify the rocrail.ini-file:

<digint iid="lenz-1" lib="lenz" sublib="usb" device="com5" bps="57600"/>

My newbie question:

It´s correct, that the COM-Port (in this case COM5) the virtual COM-Port from the LI-USB (FTDI) is? I see this entry in the Device-Manager at the Windows-System.

Note: Sorry for my bad English. But it´s 30 years old ;-)

Best regards

Hello Heiko,

Do not worry about your English, for many forum members it is not their native speech, as long as we understand each other all is fine I think.

The short answer to your question is: Yes, use that com port.

Hi,

just read:

http://wiki.rocrail.net/doku.php?id=xpressnet-en
http://wiki.rocrail.net/doku.php?id=xpr ... b-linux-en

Code: Select all
<digint iid="lenz-1" lib="lenz" sublib="usb" device="com5" host="" port="0" swtime="250" fboffset="0" startpwstate="false" fastclock="false" pw4acc="true" ignorebusy="false" sublib="usb" bps="57600" flow="cts" stress="false" libpath="/Users/ashishwakhlu/Desktop/Rocrail/Rocrail.app/Contents/MacOS"/>

Under Mac OS X there is no such device like "com1" or "com5", thats Windows. Mac OS X devices are starting with "/dev/tty.*".

The "lenz" library does not exist; Use "xpressnet".
Best Regards, Rob.
