HSI-88-USB

Postby pin88303 » 04.01.2010, 14:30

Hi Rocrailers,

First of all, i would like to wish an happy new year to each of you!
I wish it will be full of passion train(quite more than the year passed, anyway for me).

I have a question about the hsi-88-usb and Linux running system:
On the LDT site, they talk about a usb driver, but they offer it only for windows. Does somebody of you already look to make it usable with Linux ?

Sincerely

Marc

Thanks Ron,

I got the answer:

>>Rocrail is a linux software at first, a windows software at second. If there is no driver availible for linux, the device is not supported.

Anyway, it's also a gold harware ... the price is nearly 130.00 euros.

If i need to use a usb port, i will choose a normal hsi-88 and a usb-serial connector, it's half price.

Best regards

Hi,

just for the record:

HSI-88-USB is no longer supported because it is a Windows only solution.

The supported code will be not removed but no longer maintained.

If you consider a HSI-88 it is recommended to invest in the RS232 version and an USB-RS232 converter stick.
Best Regards, Rob.

And this solution is cheaper then the HSI-88-USB interface alone.
