Hi Dirk,

it is a mile stone to have 1000+ users registered, but I can not figure out why no single Model Railroad Magazine is writing about this project...

"It's for free, so it can't be of any use." ;-)

Hi Rob,

I thougt about the magazines, too. Cause in the Miba or a MIBA special there was a report about Software products. Do you think we should call them about? If you like I can call them for a Demonstration? Whats your Meaning?

Hi Alwin,

I do not write or call them; If they can not discover Rocrail by them self they must live without it. ;-)

The first attempt is found here:

After reading this paragraph you know why...

Hi Rob,

I read it and be sure the poeble writing it are journalists only without any knowledge of the technik and background. you normaly have present them the complete script and they will modify it a little bit.
on the other hand I think it is not in the interest of the magazines to write about rocrail as it is freeware and normally the publisher will be sponsored by the firms which are producing and selling, by advertisements, etc.

regards
Erich

Those magazines work often with Press release form “vendors and organizations”. What about the idea to send a press release to the magazines each time there is a new Rocrail release. With a picture and small list of added features. In every country we have users who can translate and send them to the local magazines. I can takes care of the Dutch marked.

Hi Guys,

After I returned from a six year "model railroading sabbatical" and starting looking around for control software it took me something like 15 minutes of googling to find Rocrail and enough information over Rocrail to decide to give it a try (haven't left since). I'm sure that Rocrail is easy enough to discover for those that take the time and effort to do a little research.

Best regards, Ronald
