The Analyser -> Auto Route Creation

The Analyser -> Auto Route Creation

Postby jeanmichel » 06.10.2010, 15:35

Hi everybody,

from rev1985 the analyzer feature is ready to use.

What does it do?
- it will analyze your track plan and create all possible routes automatically.
- it will fill in the "routes" field in tracks, signals and sensors -> route representation.
- you can use the "dir" track to restrict a route generation only in that direction.
- the turnouts are added as well with the correct command to use the route.
- it is working through module borders.
- it creates the routes with the new "blocksides" feature, so check the "use blockside for routes" in the rocrail properties for maximum fun!

How to use?
- you need a valid donation key.
- set the sensors at the blocks -> all and all-reverse. The all event is for all routes coming from the + side of the block (marked with the little + in SpDrS60 theme).
- start up the server with "-console" and press "z" it will show all automatically generated routes and you are ready. The new generated routes will be saved in your plan. After changing the plan just press z again (this will be simplified in the future).

How should the plan look like?
- all ite3ms must be connected without a space in between them.
- there has to be only one item at one position in the plan.

Have fun!

BR

Hi Jean-Michel,

I'm very grateful that you put so much time in realizing the analyzing feature in Rocrail.
This is again a big step forwards and will make model railroading with Rocrail very easy and attractive.
:goodjob:

Hi Jean Michel,

thanks for this very great feature and it came just right because I started to expand my layout. Also the first questions came up. I have connected some parts of my layout only by text labels. What can I do because there is no direct connection. The second question is if crossing blocs are supported somehow.

Best regards
Andre

Hi Rob and Jean-Michel,

in Rev 1999 comes this Server message:
rocs_lib_load [C:\Programme\Rocrail\analyser.dll] failed. rc=126

the file "analyser.dll" is nowhere on the PC

Hi Rainer,

it is not in the windows setup. I will add it.
Or just use Linux instead of SteveBallmerWindowMoneyMaker. ;)

Hi Rainer,

revision 2001 will be the windows friendly one.

The credits are 100% towards "Mastermind" Jean-Michel for this major feature.

Hi Rob,

thank You from one of the poor windows users

Now it's ok

I will take this opportunity to thank you both very much for this new function
and at the same time us all congratulate that we now this possibility can use.

Hi,

I have connected some parts of my layout only by text labels. What can I do because there is no direct connection.

at the moment everything has to be connected one to another. But it is logically possible to jump from one of this connectors to another.

The second question is if crossing blocs are supported somehow.

This is not a explicitly defined problem. how should the autorouter know there are crossing blocks? Some information is missing at that point.

You can generate the routes by the autorouter an then go into the routes dialog in rocview and rename the generated route eg. [[A+]-[B-]] to [[A+]-[B-]]manual for example. Than change and add the values you need and at a new run this route will stay untouched by the autorouter and a new route A-B will not be generated.

We decided to make the analyzer feature independent of a valid donation key to make it available for all.

Revision 2006+

Please try this new feature extensively and report problems in this thread.

Hallo Rob & Jeanmichel,

Can I have my donation back.

Sorry only joking. This is a great & fantastic new feature. I think everybody should now donate lots of Euros, you deserve it. Thanks.

Hi Rob,

you are right but I did forget to mention this because it happens immediately after starting Rocview. Rocview is starting, then the server will come up and then the error message will be displayed.

Best regards

No Sir! :)
Installed the same Rev today on XP and except for one crash immediately after I performed a soft reset it's running stable. The crash occurred once only so it is not reproducible.
