Hi
...2259 fix does not seem to work for Hornby Elite.
I have tried these combo of Address - Port
Sw1 1-1 did not fire
Sw2 1-2 fires 1 at 1-1
Sw3 1-3 fires 2 at 1-2
Sw4 1-4 fires 3 at 1-3
GUI resports correct address - ports above.

Sw5 2-1 fires 4
Sw6 2-2 no check
Sw7 2-3 no check
Sw8 2-4 Fires 7 at 2-3
GUI reports correct address - ports as above

Sw1 0-2 OK
Sw2 0-3 OK
Sw3 0-4 OK
Sw4 0-5 OK
GUI reports address - ports as 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5

Sw5 1-2 no check
Sw6 1-3 no check
Sw7 1-4 OK
Sw8 1-5 fires 4 at 0-5
GUI reports address - port as 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 2-4

I tried to attach my trackplan but .xmls are not allowed.
Robbie

Hi Robbie,

I've changed the configuration and now it's possible to attach xlms and inis to posts.

These files are quite important :roll: for Rocrail and it makes sense to allow these extensions for attachments.

Best regards,
Dirk

Joachim
I reset as your list, saved the file and got this:
Sw1 no reaction
Sw2 fires 1
Sw3 fires 2
Sw4 fires 3
Sw5 fires 4
Sw6 fires 1
Sw7 fires 2
Sw8 fires 3 then 7
Sw9 fires ? - probably a one with no motor connected yet.
Sw10 fires 1
Sw11 fires 2
Sw12 fires 3
Still not the correct combination...

Joachim
This is magic roundabout...
Set up as your new instructions:
Sw1 reports 1-1 no action on track
Sw2 reports 1-2 fires 1
Sw3 reports 1-3 fires 2, etc
Sw12 reports 3-4 fires 11
Back to you :roll:

Thanks for the help Joachim.
I think Rob and JeanMichael though they had fixed it.
I tried to find out from Hornby if their machines were built away from Xpressnet protocol but no reply so far.

I think rob must make a Hornby Interface.

If Hornby is really to blame not implementing the XPressNet as it should they will get more complains from other software users beside Rocrail once. And in that case they will/must correct there implementation.

I'm not willing to create extra libraries for cumbersome implemented protocols by manufacturers: Let them fix it: they have plenty of time and money to do so. (You paid for the product!)

Why then can jmri work? I really don't want to go over to that system but it seems Rocrail has finally run out of steam ! :cry:

There are people working on this issue!
Try to say something nice to them for spending their free time to get the Lenz support fixed.

This is what the JRMI Developers wrote:

Code: Select all

public EliteXNetTurnout(int pNumber) {
   super(pNumber);
   mNumber=pNumber+1;  // The Elite has an off by 1 error.  What the
                                          // protocol says should be address 2 is address
                                          // 1 on the Elite.
}

They made a special treatment for Hornby Elite.
Best Regards, Rob.
