touch screen panel control

Post by smitt48 » 19.02.2015, 16:02

I read the Model Railroad (MR) magazine yesterday and saw this article. ... lub-layout

This is a video from MR, (if you want to watch it just register on the site). It describes a N-scale layout from a club, which can run DCC and DC on the same layout at the same time. The layout is divided into blocks and the operator needs to select the next block with the use of a touch screen, he then follows the train to the next block. The touch screen select the route and aligns all switches etc. It is somewhat like block control on an analog layout in the past, except the computer knows where you going and set switches and blocks other trains from intruding.
