Problem with Analize...

Postby RAFHAAA96 » 10.03.2011, 14:30

Hi
When I use Analyse Rocrail deletes the old routes and starts to change memory for new routes then crashes with the dialogue attached.
Not sure if this is a RR problem or a pc fault.
Can't attach last trace file as .trc extensions not allowed to be uploaded.

Just zip it all:

- traces
- ini
- plan.xml

@all:

Before you post you will get a hint:
English:
1) Please make sure that your used topic title matches the content of your post. It makes no sense to choose a subject that points on a different theme. The forum admins will rename or remove such a thread.
2) If you are asking for support for Rocrail functionallity, auto mode, switches, signals ... you have to post your rocrail.ini plan file and the trace file. No one can help you if you don't provide this informations.

Deutsch:

Why must we always ask personally for the needed information!?
Best Regards, Rob.

Hi,

your plan is not analyzable with the current implementation of the analyzer.
I opened a bug for this issue:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/rocrail/+bug/732693

For the moment you have to define the routing manually.
Best Regards, Rob.

Thanks Rob
I see the de-bug chap thinks it has to do with previous route IDs. I have noticed before in the trace and trackplan that the text sometimes refers to previous ID for some routes and even previous location for some track items.
Why would the application need to remember that after the file had been saved.
Also Analyze did seem to be working OK before, although there were some routes that I thought possible which were missed, so I put it down to traffic direction limitations placed on the earlier plan (dir/dirall).

Hi Robbie,

I've tested Your plan file with the here described tool:
http://wiki.rocrail.net/doku.php?id=tra ... track_plan
There is the turntable object as double defined detected.

You must delete one of that definitions in the plan file with a texteditor.
The tool above give You all necessary informations to find that.

Hi RainerK
How strange - I tried uploading both my workspace trackplan and the one that is in Rocrail main folder and both report no problem.
I have bookmarked the tool for future use.

Hi Robbie,

with 2439 it will not crash on my machine. I did some fixes again so 2441 should be really ok.

in your plan you have defined signals which secure the block from the outside. it should be the other way round. a signal belonging to eg. block A will secure the next block B. and so on. so in your case the analser finds all those track elements for every route because it is searching from a block to a signal in driving direction. all elements until this signal will have route id's set. a block should look like this:

<ooo>-l signal A - sensor - ... - BLOCK - ... - sensor - signal B l-<ooo>

so the block reaches from signal A to signal B. the signal securing the other blocks.

Hi Jean-Michel
I am waiting for 2441 to appear in the saturnus unicode listing for download.
I take note of your advice about the signals vs blocks configuration.
As I have no actual sensors installed yet I will delete them from the plan and look at the signal settings.
Thanks Robbie

Hi
I had to install rev 2443 as there is no 2441 listed in unicode.
I ran Analyse again and RR deleted the old routes then generated almost twice as many new routes, all looking good so far.
RR server then cleaned up analizer and appeared to go into memory change mode listing old memory then changing it to a new memory location.
No entries were found in the routes table at this stage.
This has been going on for 2 days until I closed it down to send you the workspace.zip for your comments.
Opening RR again shows that the routes table has been popluated.
Thanks Robbie

Hi Robbie,

Believe it or not, but there is a famous four letter expression starting with R and ending with M. From the wiki page on the analyser
Note that Rocview has to be restarted after the routes have been generated
