Can a simple turntable like the Hornby one be controlled by Rocrail ?

Hi Nick,

good question, but without any information of the turntable I cannot give you an answer.

Provide links and other information to make it possible for us to make up an opinion.

Hallo rjversluis,
I have the same problem with a Fleischmann turnable and the Turn-Control. The use of Turn-Control is quite simple, the programmed tack exits, 1 to 99, correspond to the article adress 201 to 299.
With Rocrail i cannot use my turnable, i try many way but i never had a good result.
Thanks.

I have no clue what your problems are with such a global description of the problem.
Rocrail supports 3 types of turntable controllers which you can read in the Wiki. An out of the box TT from Fleischmann does not have a controller.

Hi Patrick,

Fleischmann does have a separate controller: 6915, which can be connected to LocoNet. This type is not jet supported by Rocrail, but it seems to be very easy to do.

Do you have this controller?

Yes Rob. 6915 is the ref. of the Turn-Control.
After a lot of tries I managed to activate the turnable with the mode "digitalbahn " and by cheating with the addresses.
Unfortunetaly that does not work for a long time.
Thanks.

Hi Patrick,

I will add support for the 6915:

I decided not to use a turntable in the end - it took up too much space, and the Hornby one is far too noisy. :)

Fleischmann 6915 tested?

Post by tuti » 23.05.2011, 07:54

Hi.

Did somebody test the 6915 with success? I can't get it to work.

Using revision 2614 I added a turntable and configured the following:

@Schnittstelle:
Schnittstellenkennung = ib (my Intellibox)
Typ = f6915
Protokoll = NMRA-DCC

According to the docu there are no more relevant setting on this panel. Right? :?:

@Gleise I added two tracks (for testing). But there is my first problem. According to the documentation the Gleisnummer should be a value from 0 to 47. But the interface just offers me the F6915-relevant numbers from 201 to 299. Is this a bug?

This tracks with numbers beyond 200 do not appear in the turntables context-menu, so I can't choose them. :?

But also the next and previous options do not work.

I paste the relevant section of my plan here:

<ttlist>
<tt id="DS NMS" x="4" y="3" z="1" bridgepos="0" state1="false" state2="false" stateMid="false" state="open" pending="false" pos="0" prev_id="DS NMS" desc="" manager="false" embeddedblock="false" symbolsize="5" iid="ib" bus="0" addr="0" diraddr="0" poladdr="0" type="f6915" V="75" delay="0" pause="0" actfn="0" motoroffdelay="1000" prot="N" s1="" s2="" sMid="" psen="" swaprotation="false" addr0="0" addr1="0" addr2="0" addr3="0" addr4="0" addr5="0" addr6="0" port0="0" port1="0" port2="0" port3="0" port4="0" port5="0" port6="0" invpos="false" invnew="false">
<track nr="" decnr="299" oppositetrack="202" desc="" posfb="" polarization="false" show="true" bkid=""/>
<track nr="213" decnr="297" oppositetrack="211" desc="" posfb="" polarization="false" show="true" bkid=""/>
</tt>
</ttlist>

Hmm? The first track has no "track nr". It was 219 in rocview (I played with the numbers until they were in the right position).

Lets try to put in "24" and "22" here (the right values for left and a bit higher according to the docu)...

O.K., with the manual edit in the XML file it works now! Hurray!!! The tracks appear in the context menu and the turntable moves correct! :D

There is a little bug in the rocview when creating/editing the tracks of the 6915...
