Sorting by address on Accessory Decoder Usage screen ?

Post by DeepPurple » 13.01.2018, 10:51

Good morning,

I'm documenting the usage of the various accessory decoders that pilot my layout. I managed to get a list of the ports used on each of my decoders, with a reference to the managed accessory. GREAT !

The only thing I miss is the possibility to sort the ports on address. I have tried by clicking on the Address label, but nothing happens. Is there a way to sort the accessories ? This would be very handy.

I use revision 13351.

Hi Philippe,

this is not easy to implement because the usage list can contain at least 4 different object types.

I understand. I presume that you execute four queries, one for each table, and then merge the results. But could it be possible to at least sort by address within each object type ? It would be nicer than the current "random" sorting (which I suspect to not be really random but rather based on creation order of the objects) ?

Thank you for your attention.

Philippe
