U.S. Loco icons

Post by sv1iw » 14.08.2018, 14:40

Hello everyone.
I have started lately a small basic N layout using DCC++ with arduino and Motor shield. RR works fine (still only run basic functions) but I can't find any U.S. Loco icons to use (My N locos are all US). Does anyone has a source with icons from US locos;

Regards and Thank you in advance

Hi Manos,

With icons do you mean pictures?
You can take your own picture and send them to Magnus. He will change them so they fit Rocrail.

Hi Manos,
You may make Your own pictures and then make them smaller to a max. hight of 80 pixels. They must be in the png mode.

best regards
Johannes

Thanks for the replies guys. The Egg of Columbus. I think I can handle this myself, have a lot of experience with Corel Draw so I guess it can be done with it,
Thanks again

Hi Manos,

to get a more pleasing train representation as it shown in the following picture with "not coupled" loco and wagons and in "different perspectives":

is it recommended to use images with orthogonal side view of the loco/wagon and they should be cut off at the buffers like this:

and not with a view near from an end of the loco and not cut at the buffers like this:

Yes Rainer. I got the difference, I can do this and crop the picture precisely.
Thanks for the advice
