[solved] Rasberry PI and Rocweb

Postby Dagnall » 04.07.2017, 13:58

Hi, I have just started moving my control from an old Win XP laptop to a Rasberry Pi zero W.
I would like to get RocWeb working. but am having trouble.

I have made a /home/pi/rocrail/web directory and populated it with what I presumed was the Javascript / html files that I found on the /web directory of my PC.. But this does not work..

Where are the appropriate Linux /web files please? and is it as simple as just copying them into the /rocrail/web folder and pointing to it in rocrail properties / rocweb?

For interest, the Rasberry PI Zero W, loaded Rocrail easily, although it cannot support mouse and keyboad simultaneously (my 4 port hub seems to take too much power!).
I have it running at the moment using CBUS over the ethernet connection and also working with the MQTT rocnet controller. But I would like to get RocWeb working..

Many thanks

Hi Dagnal,

wrong approach.
The WEB directory is part of the installer:
http://wiki.rocrail.net/doku.php?id=roc ... b-en#linux
No need to mangle pre defined locations.
Best Regards, Rob.
:!: PS: Do not forget to attach the usual files.

Thanks, I thought I had done the install correctly, but I did not have a /web directory once I had finished..
I had followed the instructions as advised
...Download
wget https://launchpad.net/rocrail/sunrise/2 ... -armhf.deb
Install:
sudo dpkg -i rocrail-xxxxx-wheezy-armhf.deb

Is there anything else I need to do??

I will try a re-install. with :rocrail-12400-linuxarmhf-wx3.0-armhf.deb now...

Thanks for super quick response!

Thanks Johannes and Rob
I was looking in the /home/pi/rocrail directory.
I changed the rocweb address in the rocrail properties tab to /opt/rocrail/web this and it now works...

Many thanks
Dagnall

PS Its amazing that I can run the whole Rocrail system from a $10 Linux computer like the Rasberry PI Zero !
