Hi Rob.

Running 9238 on Win8,1 both Chrome and FF browsers. The yellow colors are not showing on my browsers. Not a show stopper but nice to have.

Rocweb on Chrome
Rocweb on Chrome.PNG

Rocweb on Firefox
Rocweb on FF.PNG

Both browsers show the same scheme.
Anything I need to do?

Thanks Tom

Tom,

if you start the browsers after the route has been set the won't show you the yellow route because they missed the needed events.

Or you did not set option show routes:

Hi Robert,

I thinks its a memory leak in the Rocrail WebSocket service; Just check the Taskmanager if the used memory by the Rocrail server increases over time.

Seems I cannot use rocweb on my phone with 9238, they dont like each other.

Hi Robert,

following test I did:

- Rocrail server and Rocview on a Mac running in virtual automatic mode.
- iPad with Rocweb connected.
- Android smart phone with Rocweb connected.
- Android tablet with andRoc connected.

Runs for more then an hour without problems...

I will try a Windows 7 Rocrail server later on.
Best Regards, Rob.

Hi Robert,

with Windows 7 as server I do not get a crash either; Rocview and Firefox on the same machine.
Don't know how to reproduce the crash...

I now added Chrome too under Win7 and let it run in virtual automatic for a while.
Best Regards, Rob.

Rob,

Think you need the same sort of platforms, eg an android phone, with FF and Opera. This is what I am using.
After the crash I ran another session, only difference I used Opera, which seems to be better in recovery.

With both FF and Opera I still get many websocket errors but these are showing on the server trace only and being recovered from, I can continue to use the rocweb.
This second session I used Opera for more than an hour, it seems to recover from sockets and other stuff better than FF. Going with opera for the time being.

I attach a trace which shows the socket errors and some trace dumps..

Too hot to continue!

Robert

Meanwhile the revision is 9245.
Just check it out. (If its no longer so hot.)

BTW: It seems FF is queue'ing commands to Rocrail and burst them out after a while.

Rob,

Is there any interaction? The crashes usually occur when I am operating a loc, and changing speeds an direction a lot, while also running a couple of trains in auto.

I think the key is load and lots of two way comms.

Hi Rob,

Opcode update.
I am afraid there is no update.
I am trying to find out through my Mozilla contact (which might or might not yield any result)

I cannot get it crashed neither running with Mac OSX nor running with Windows 7 32bit home edition in combination with Rocview and an Android device with FF as browser.
I pushed buttons on the throttle in FF every second for at least an half an hour and it runs and runs even when I reload the Rocweb page with FF.

I have no clue how to reproduce this issue.
Best Regards, Rob.
