Hi Peter,
As I know, Rob never hosted Rocrail on github, he had own git server.

small history of hosting:
- SourceForge (CVS/SVN)
- LaunchPad (Bazaar) (used now for downloading binaries)
- GitHub (Git)
- Private Gitblit (Git) (still exist as private backup)
- GitLab (Git)
Best Regards, Rob.

Hi,

the main reason to swap to GitLab ist the user management which at GitHub is only possible if you pay a lot of money each year.

SourceForge I left because of the massive advertising and slow performance. (Also no User Management...)
Best Regards, Rob.

Hi Rob,

I don't know how good is *), but for my (small) git repository I use gitea- an "user interface" for git. The advantege is that it can run on your own server, no need for a dedicated one.
On the other hand, if the price for a dedicated server is "correct", it let you to concentrate on your work, not on interface administration.
In my case was more a test "can I have / can I do it?".

*) I defined a test user, was possible, but not sure how good/easy/sure is the administration.
