Hi Rob,

great. My system is not hanging anymore but there is still a small issue left. If I read the first CV everything is Ok, trying to read the next CV no response from the programming track, trying again reading is Ok. Because of this behaviour Read all is not working. Sometimes I can see the message "error Mutex on trywait". With the terminal programm I can read one CV after another very quickly. This is not a big issue for me but if you like to do more testing please let me know.

Best regards
Andre

Hi Andre,

it seems that the programming commands holds up other processing for a while.

I see only one solution to avoid this by using the PT button which disable all other threads to communicate with the Tams MC. But this would have the side effect that you cannot read/write CV's and running trains in auto mode simultaneous...

The mix between p50x ASCII and Binary is not a very good one. :-(
But I cannot change that: Tams.

Hi Rob,

thanks for your Info. I understand that this issue is TAMS related. On the the other hand in my mind I don´t like trains running in auto mode while I am busy with programming decoders. Maybe some other TAMS user can give their mind about that. Many thanks again to Rob.

Best regards
Andre

Hi Andre,

you can test this revision using the PT button:

http://launchpad.net/rocrail/sunrise/2. ... nicode.exe

Without using the PT Button the behavior is the same as with the previous revision.

If you do not release the PT button after programming you will not get any sensor events or system information from the Tams MC!

And as usual: I have no Tams MC so this revision is not tested.

When programming the main track is without current I think.

Hi Rob,

just tested the new revision with a test plan:

reading single cv - no problems
reading all - no problems
writing single cv - perhaps a little problem: the writing is ok, but their is no answer from the mc
writting all - doesn't work

I can't see any difference by activate PT or not

When i start programming, the MC switches power off.
Programming and running locos simultanious doesn' work,
but i doesn't need it .

best regards

Hi Heinz,

interesting test. I did not test write all but during CV single write I have seen that it takes a long time until the message "waiting for PT" disappears but I did not care about that. This could be the reason that write all are not working (I was afraid to use write all because maybe overwrite all my CVs  ).

Best regards

Hi,

its just that the write confirmation is not pushed up to the Rocrail server. This will be fixed in the next revision.

Hi Andre,

I' ve changed under rocview - properties - programming the timeout to 4.
After that, the reading was very quick.
Perhaps 3 or 2 are also possible.
Please trie and test it.

best regards
